DeVries Design and Landscape is a design-build company focused on creating customized outdoor living spaces. We work closely with homeowners to design and build projects that match their needs, preferences, and lifestyle.

We are currently hiring an Outdoor Living Sales Designer to support client consultations, develop design concepts, estimate project costs, and guide projects from initial idea through handoff to production.

Position Overview

This role focuses on creating and selling custom outdoor living designs, including hardscape projects. The ideal candidate is comfortable meeting with clients, developing design concepts, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure projects are completed as planned.

This is an intermediate-level role best suited for candidates with hands-on experience who can confidently manage both design and client-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet with clients on-site to understand project goals and preferences
• Develop design proposals based on client needs
• Prepare cost estimates and pricing for proposed designs
• Present designs and estimates to clients and guide them through the decision process
• Prepare detailed plans for approved projects to support construction
• Communicate with clients regarding updates, revisions, and approvals
• Coordinate with project management and production teams for project handoff
• Assist with design adjustments or change orders as needed

Qualifications

• Experience using CAD software for design work
• Ability to develop accurate cost estimates for projects
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Strong communication and client-facing skills
• Ability to translate client ideas into functional design plans
• Focus on customer service throughout the project lifecycle
• Degree in landscape design or at least 2 years of related experience
• Valid driver's license

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary starting at $65,000 plus commission
• Paid time off
• Paid holidays (6 per year)
